In her practice, she works collaboratively with parents, families, schools and the wider system supporting young people. She prides herself on her ability to engage young people, helping them feel understood and at ease, thereby facilitating dialogue that leads to positive change.

With over twenty years of NHS psychiatry experience, Dr Racussen is confident in providing the highest standard of care and evidence-based intervention to her patients.

She has a very broad clinical background and adopts a personalised and holistic approach to helping her patients overcome their difficulties, develop positive coping strategies and reach their potential in life.

Her extensive medical experience, coupled with a curiosity to learn more about the latest trends, is what defines her success in the medical field.

Dr Racussen graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1996, and worked in South Africa as a doctor in Accident & Emergency until emigrating to the United Kingdom.

She completed her General Psychiatry training on the Charing Cross and North West London (CNWL) Psychiatry Rotation.

Dr Racussen spent eight years working on an inpatient adolescent unit (which she helped establish) and undertook a secondment as an Honorary Specialist Registrar at the Tavistock Centre and Royal Free Hospital CAMHS.

She was fortunate to complete her higher specialist training on the Great Ormond Street Hospital Child & Adolescent Psychiatry training scheme.
